Stop Smoking Guide

The hazards of smoking are such that would force smokers to quit smoking, but it is always easier said than done, more so if you have been smoking for years. Even with much help from products, such as herbal inhalers and nicotine patches that claim to help smokers get rid of smoking, you’ll still find it difficult to stop smoking. This is because of the high levels of nicotine, a very addictive substance, in every stick. Nonetheless, it is not an impossible dream to quit the habit of smoking.

When trying to quit smoking, one major issue you are likely to deal with is withdrawal. Withdrawal symptoms can range from pretty bad to worse, and learning how to cope with these counts towards your eventual success in getting rid of smoking. That is why if you want to quit once and for all, the resolve to do so should come from you, and you need to be very firm, too. You need to have a very strong willpower and a great support system that is composed of your family and loved ones and friends. Given these, try to do the following:

• Start to make lifestyle changes. Resolve to eat healthy foods and get on an exercise program. When making healthy choices starts to grow into you, it would be easier to shun the bad habits away.

• Keep anything that reminds you of smoking from your sight. Remove ash trays from the table, give away cigarette cases and lighters, and dispose unused cigarettes.

• Spend more time in libraries, parks, or in other places where smoking is prohibited. This way you’ll be forced not to smoke, even if the urge to smoke is there.

• Visit the dentist to remove tobacco stains from your teeth. When your teeth are white and gleaming, would you still want to smoke and mess them all up again? Most probably not!

• If you feel like smoking, engage yourself in a conversation or chew a gum, pop in some mints, read a book, or do anything that will keep your mind off smoking.

• Get into the habit of brushing your teeth right after you eat. This way, you will forget about smoking after meals.

With all the health hazards associated with smoking, quitting the habit is a must. This is one of the very few instances when quitters actually win. Be a quitter, be a winner.

Most people know that smoking is bad for the health and causes lung cancer and heart attacks. What they may not know is that smoking causes many other diseases and illnesses. It is also the single most preventable cause of death in the U.S.

At this moment, I’m trying out my first E Cigerette.  It’s not that bad.  I feel it’s a good replacement so far.
Now at 71 years old and healthy.  My question is, can I now die at 100 years old with the peace of mind,   I’m not labled as a smoker?  It would be wonderful to have on my tomb stone.  ” He died of old age.”

I’m going to miss the non-smoker on his dealth bed at 40 years old.  Telling me them cigerettes will kill you at a early age.

Back to E cigerettes.  My advice is try them at least.  Make a small investment at first, as I’ve done.
